Erlana Larkins’ double-double helps Fever top Storm

Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – Erlana Larkins scored 17 and grabbed 11 boards to lead the Indiana Fever in beat the Seattle Storm, 76-68 Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Natasha Howard and Shavonte Zellous each added 13 while Marissa Coleman finished with 12 points for the Fever.

Lynetta Kizer and Zellous each had a 3-pointer as the Fever used a 9-0 blast to take a 17-8 lead late in the first.

Then the Storm’s Camille Little sank four free throws and Temeka Johnson scored on a layup to cut the deficit to 17-14.

Jenna O’Hea had two 3-pointers in a 18-6 run as the Storm (4-7) surged ahead 32-23 late in the second.

Larkins scored five of the Fever’s last seven points of the quarter as they reduced the Storm’s lead to 36-30 at halftime.

In the third, Crystal Langhorne scored six to help the Storm retain the lead at 51-47 entering the last quarter.

But Coleman sank two 3-pointer as the Fever outscored the Storm 12-1 to get a 70-62 advantage with just over two minutes left.

Little led the Storm with 17 points while Tanisha Wright added 15.
