Chiefs’ Game Called Off

HYDE — The Clearfield American Legion baseball team’s Thursday home game against Altoona was postponed because of overnight and morning rains that made the Bison Sports Complex diamond unplayable.

Manager Sid Lansberry said the Central Penn League contest will be rescheduled at a later date.

He did announce three changes to the Chiefs’ schedule, two involving games this weekend.

The Chiefs’ trip to Bellefonte has been moved from Saturday to Monday, and their home game against State College Sunday has been switched to the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field at 6 p.m.

Also, Lansberry listed Friday, June 20, as the makeup date for the June 1 home game against Clarence that was postponed because the Bald Eagle Area High School team was preparing for the PIAA Playoffs.
