Auburn, AL, United States (4E Sports) – The nation’s leading returning scorer Antoine Mason has chosen to transfer to Auburn over Providence and Boston College.

A 6-foot-3 guard, Mason averaged 25.6 points last season for Niagara, second in the nation behind Creighton’s Doug McDermott, who averaged 26.9 points.

He will avail of the NCAA’s transfer rule that allows players who have graduated and have eligibility remaining to be able to play immediately.

The son of former NBA player Anthony Mason, he said it was tough to make a decision and that it came down to intangibles.

Mason made up his mind after visiting Auburn last weekend.
