Baton Rouge, LA, United States (4E Sports) – LSU head coach Les Miles announced that junior defensive back Jalen Mills has been indefinitely suspended from the football team for his involvement in an off-campus incident.
According to Miles, he will not make any further comments until the incident has gone through the legal system.
Miles was referring to an incident where Mills was arrested and charged with second-degree battery charge for allegedly punching a woman in the mouth.
A report said a woman claimed Mills punched her in the mouth on May 4 in his apartment. She says she fell to the ground and was briefly unconscious.
Police tried to met with Mills several times but were unsuccessful, forcing them to issue a warrant of arrest. Mills was being held on $7,000 bond and has been prohibited from contacting the victim
Mills started all 26 games over two seasons for the Tigers, recording three interceptions last season as a sophomore and was third on the team with 67 tackles.
