LeBron James scores 35 to fuel Heat past Spurs in Game 2

San Antonio, TX, United States (4E Sports) – LeBron James had 35 points and 10 rebounds as the Miami Heat subdued the San Antonio Spurs, 98-96 Sunday at AT&T Center.

Chris Bosh added 18 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer on a pass from James with 1:18 remaining for the Heat, as they rebounded after losing Game 1 to the Spurs to tie the NBA Finals.

Dwyane Wade and Rashard Lewis each scored 14 for the Heat.

The Spurs took a 26-19 lead at the end of the first with Tim Duncan pumping in 11 points.

Back-to-back baskets by Patty Mills and Manu Ginobili to open the second pushed the Spurs lead to 30-19.

But a Ray Allen 3-pointer ignited a 16-3 blast capped by a LeBron James layup to give the Heat their first lead at 34-33.

The score was tied at 43 at the half.

James then scored 14 points in the third quarter but the Heat were still down only 78-77 heading to the fourth.

The Spurs led by 93-92 with under 2 minutes to play. But they were shut out from there.

Bosh then hit a 3-pointer to put the Heat up 95-93 and then dished a sharp pass to Wade for a layup and a 98-93 lead with just nine seconds left.

Tony Parker scored 21, ,Tim Duncan had 18 points and 15 rebounds and Ginobili finished with 19 points for the Spurs.

Game 3 is on Tuesday at Miami.
