Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E) – An armed couple shot dead two police officers eating lunch at a Las Vegas pizza restaurant and a Wal-Mart store shopper before committing suicide on Sunday.
Diners at the CiCi’s Pizza restaurant at 309 North Nellis saw the couple shot officers Alyn Beck, 42, and Igor Soldo, 32, in the head before taking their guns and bullets around 11:22 a.m., said Officer Laura Meltzer, a spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).
The shooters crossed the street towards the nearby Wal-Mart and shot dead one person near the store’s entrance. The shooters ran to the store brandishing their weapons causing a pandemonium. Police were rushing to engage the suspects when the female shooter shot the male suspect before shooting herself.
Police are still determining the identities of the third victim and the two shooters.
LVMPD’s Sheriff Doug Gillespie told reporters in a press conference after the shooting that the motive of the shooters remains under investigation.
Witnesses reportedly heard the two suspects yell, “This is a revolution” or “Tell the police the revolution has begun.”
