San Antonio, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Tim Duncan had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs past the Oklahoma City Thunder, 117-89 Thursday at AT&T Center.
Manu Ginobili scored 19, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green each had 14, and Boris Diaw added 13 as the Spurs took a 3-2 lead in the series.
Behind by 10-6, the Thunder used an 13-2 run to take a 19-12 lead with 4:18 left in the first.
Patty Mills and Green closed the quarter with consecutive 3-pointers to tie the game at 32-all.
The Spurs used a 7-2 run capped by Diaw’s 3 to take a 42-37 lead with 6:12 left in the first half.
Their lead swelled with Ginobili’s 3 pointer giving the Spurs a 65-52 lead with 6.9 seconds left in the first half.
With Duncan pouring in eight points, the Spurs outscored the Thunder 29-19 in the third to lead by 94-74 at the end of the quarter.
Green hit two 3-pointers and scored eight as the Spurs started the fourth with a 15-2 blast to surge ahead 109-76, which silenced the Thunder.
Kevin Durant scored 25 points and Russell Westbrook added 21 points and seven assists to lead the Thunder, who host Game 6 Saturday.
