Moises Sierra’s RBI single propels White Sox past Indians

Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) – Moises Sierra’s run-scoring single in the ninth inning lifted the Chicago White Sox over the Cleveland Indians, 3-2 Wednesday U.S. Cellular Field.

The Indians took the initial lead on Giambi’s solo homer off Hector Noesi in the second.

The White Sox tied it in the seventh on a two-out base hit by Marcus Semien off Scott Atchison.

In the eighth, Adam Dunn drove in Gordon Beckham with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly against Cody Allen to give the White Sox a 2-1 lead.

Then Yan Gomes ripped an RBI single off Ronald Belisario in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 2-2.

Sierra settled it off a 3-2 offering by Bryan Shaw (1-1) to complete a three-game sweep for the White Sox.

Noesi gave up one run and five hits while striking out five without a walk in over 7 1/3 innings for the win.

Indians starter T.J. House gave up one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings and struck out eight while walking one.
