South Bend, IN, United States (4E Sports) – Notre Dame announced that it has officially readmitted suspended guard Jerian Grant, who was suspended after 12 games last season due to an academic issue.
The school said Grant is expected to begin classes when summer school starts.
“The University recently granted readmission to a group of individuals, and that group included student-athletes Jerian Grant and [suspended wide receiver] DaVaris Daniel,” the school said in a statement.
“Both will return to Notre Dame beginning with summer school next month,” it added.
Grant had been suspended from the team after 12 games last season, suddenly announcing he was no longer enrolled due to an academic issue.
Grant expected to return to the school after the spring semester, and he stayed on schedule.
The 6-foot-5 Grant was the team’s leading scorer before his suspension, averaging 19.0 points and 6.2 assists. Notre Dame went just 7-13 in his absence.
