Los Angeles, CA, United States (NewsBahn) – The Los Angeles Kings are perhaps the most explosive yet well-rounded team left in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
They showed why again Monday night with an impressive 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in game four of the Western Conference finals.
The Kings, up 3-1 in the best of seven series, built a 4-0 lead midway through the second period as Marian Gaborik netted his 10th of the postseason and Jake Muzzin and Dustin Brown contributed power play goals.
Brandon Saad got the Hawks on board with six minutes left in the second period.
Bryan Bickell made it 4-2 midway through the third, but Tanner Pearson sealed it with an empty net tally with 62 seconds remaining.
Jon Quick made 22 stops for the kings, while Corey Crawford halted just 16 of 20 shots for the Blackhawks
The Kings can wrap up the series Wednesday night in Chicago.
