Chris Davis triggers four runs to push Orioles past Indians

Baltimore, MD, United States (4E Sports) – Chris Davis homered and had four RBIs to lead the Baltimore Orioles in beating the Cleveland Indians, 8-4 Friday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Adam Jones had three hits and scored three runs and to help snap the Indians’ four-game winning streak.

The Orioles’ Bud Norris (3-4) gave up four runs, six hits and three walks in six innings to earn the win.

Jason Giambi hit a three-run homer to give the Indians a 4-3 lead.

Nelson Cruz put Baltimore up 1-0 with a shot to right-center in the second inning, and Davis doubled to right to make it 3-0 in the third.

The Indians responded with a four-run fourth with Lonnie Chisenhall doubling in a run and Giambi hitting a homer.

But Davis followed an infield hit by Jones with a shot to right field in the fifth to give the lead back to the Orioles at 5-4.

In the seventh, Orioles made three unearned runs after Mark Lowe’s throwing error allowed a run by Jones followed by an RBI groundout by J.J. Hardy and a run-scoring double by Delmon Young.

The Indians’ T.J. House (0-1) allowed five runs and 11 hits in six innings.
