Rain Conditions to Halt Search for Missing Boater

The West Branch of the Susquehanna River will reopen at 8 p.m. tonight, according to the Clearfield County Fire Wire Facebook page.

All river traffic was suspended Sunday from the Rolling Stone Bridge in Covington Township to Karthaus due to search operations for a missing boater.

The missing boater has not been found. However, rain conditions tonight will put the search at a standstill, and search operations will resume as weather permits.

Anyone who notices anything out of the ordinary is asked to report it to 9-1-1 immediately.
