Brandon Moss’ two-run homer fuels A’s past Indians

Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Brandon Moss hit a two-run homer and had an RBI to lead the Oakland Athletics over the Cleveland Indians, 6-2 Saturday at Progressive Field.

Josh Donaldson had three RBIs and the Athletics’ bullpen allowed one run in seven innings to help seal their eighth win in nine games.

A wild pitch by Scott Kazmir to Jesus Aguilar allowed Asdrubal Cabrera to sprint home from third base to give the Indians a 1-0 lead in the second.

Dan Otero (4-0) relieved Kazmir, who was ejected for arguing a call of ball four instead of strike three on Jesus Aguilar.

The Athletics responded three runs in the third off Josh Tomlin (2-1).

Cabrera’s sacrifice fly in the sixth cut the Indians’ deficit to 3-2.

Donaldson added a two-run triple in the seventh and Moss followed with an RBI single.

The Indians have lost three straight and five of seven. Cleveland committed three errors and has made a major league-high

43 errors in 43 games.
