Anaheim, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Justin Williams, Jeff Carter and Mike Richards scored in the first period as the Los Angeles Kings finished off the Anaheim Ducks, 6-2 Friday in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals at Honda Center.

Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik and Tanner Pearson also scored, and Jonathan Quick made 25 saves to help the Kings advanced to their third straight conference finals.

Williams, Carter, Richards and Kopitar shredded 20-year old rookie goalie John Gibson for four goals in the first 22:02.

That prompted Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau to bring in dependable veteran Jonas Hiller.

Gaborik managed to sneak in a wrist shot past Hiller to give the Kings a 5-0 lead late in the second period.

Kyle Palmieri finally put the Ducks on the scoreboard at 17:02 of the second.

Corey Perry further cut the Ducks deficit to 5-2 early in the third before Pearson’s goal settled the final score.
