Washington, DC, United States (NewsBahn) – Houston has a problem … when it comes to dog attacks on postal carriers. It ranked as the largest city with the most dog attacks, 63, last year.

Nationally, there were about 5,600 dog attacks on postal carriers according to the USPS.

“There’s a myth we often hear at the Postal Service. Don’t worry — my dog won’t bite,” said Linda DeCarlo, postal service manager of safety, in a statement. “Dog attacks are a nationwide issue and not just a postal problem.”

Los Angeles, Cleveland, San Diego and Chicago followed Houston in the top-five according to the postal service.
