CMS Student Council Donation to Benefit ALS Research

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Middle School Student Council recently sold wrist bracelets to benefit ALS research.

Shown making a $265 donation in honor of Kate Tibbens are Karen Ward, student council advisor; Paige Rhine; Ryanne Henschel; Wendy Moore, daughter of Kate Tibbens; Abby Pennington; and Madison Domico.

According to the ALS Association, it has committed more than $67 million to finding effective treatments and a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease. Their global research effort has helped increase the number of scientists working on ALS, advanced new discoveries and treatments and has shed light on the complex genetic and environmental factors involved in ALS.

Anyone wishing to donate can make an online donation or send a check payable to the ALS Association to Wendy Moore, 55 High St., Clearfield, PA  16830.
