Miami, FL, United States (4E Sports) – LeBron James scored 29 and Dwyane Wade added 28 to lead the Miami Heat rally past the Brooklyn Nets, 96-94 Wednesday at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Chris Bosh scored 16 and Ray Allen finished with 13 to help the Heat win the second-round matchup 4-1.
The Nets closed the first half on an 8-0 run to take 49-42.
Then Joe Johnson scored 12 in the third to lead the Nets in maintaining their seven point lead at the end of the third at 73-66.
Down by eight with less than five minutes left, the Heat forced the Nets into nine straight missed shots in a 12-0 run to take a 95-91 lead.
With 11 seconds left Johnson managed to hit a 3-pointer but the Nets ran out of time.
Johnson had 34 points, Paul Pierce scored 19 and Deron Williams had 17 for the Nets.
The Heat will next face either fifth-seeded Washington or the top-seeded Pacers.
