Irving, TX, United States (4E Sports) – The pairings for the 10 hoop matches in the 2014 SEC/Big 12 Challenge from Dec. 3 to Dec. 6 were announced Wednesday.
Key matchups will be held on Dec. 5 with Texas traveling to Kentucky and Florida going to Kansas.
Kentucky boasts of the most talented frontcourt in the country but Texas is not left behind and are led by Myles Turner, the No. 2 prospect in the 2014 class per RecruitingNation.
Kansas and Florida are both ranked in the top 10 of ESPN.com’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2014-15.
The series will kick off with Auburn playing at Texas Tech in the lone game on Dec. 3.
Then on Dec. 4, Arkansas goes to Iowa State, Baylor will play at Vanderbilt, LSU will travel to West Virginia and TCU will be at Ole Miss.
The games on on Dec. 5 will also feature Missouri at Oklahoma.
The series concludes with Kansas State at Tennessee and Oklahoma St. going to South Carolina on Dec. 6.
Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M will not participate.
The Big 12 won the inaugural SEC/Big 12 Challenge last season by a 7-3 margin.
