Cincinatti, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Adrien Broner has been suspended from World Boxing Council sanctioned championships and excluded from its ratings until he makes a public apology for racially insensitive remarks.

In an interview with Jim Gray of Showtime after a Saturday win against Carlos Molina at MGM Grand, Broner said: “I just beat the f**k out of a Mexi-can.”

The WBC, in a statement posted on its website, said Adrien “The Problem” Broner had “offended many persons of the world with his words.”

“The World Boxing Council holds human equality as its banner and will not accept a former WBC champion to make racially offensive statements,” added the WBC statement.
