Storrs, CT, United States (NewsBahn) – A UConn sophomore is alleging that she and others were hazed at the school’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon frat house.

Among other things, Hillary Holt said she was told to “lay on the floor and sizzle like bacon” and grab her ankles while jumping up and down and chugging booze.

The sorority “engaged in hazing behaviors including but not limited to forced consumption of alcohol, acting like animals, and sizzling like bacon, which included lying on the floor and wiggling,” NBC News reports via a USA Today/Newser story.

The most serious thing Holt told the Hartford Courant was that she blacked out and awoke at the hospital.

SAE is under investigation by UConn and has had other incidents at other schools across the country over the years.

Regarding the sorority, the university’s “decision to revoke Kappa Kappa Gamma’s registration and recognition was not taken lightly, but it was appropriate and imperative in light of the severity of the circumstances.”
