San Antonio, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Tony Parker had 33 points and nine assists as the San Antonio Spurs led all the way in beating the Portland Trail Blazers, 116-92 Tuesday in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals at AT&T Center.
Tim Duncan had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Marco Belinelli had 19 points and Kawhi Leonard added 16 points for the Spurs, who never led by less than 20 in the second half.
Parker scored 12 as the Spurs raced to a 29-14 lead with six seconds left in the first quarter.
The Spurs pushed their lead to 44-23 at 8:14 of the second after Patty Mills scored five points in a 7-0 run.
Despite LaMarcus Adridge scoring 11 points in the second quarter, the Blazers couldn’t stop the Spurs from taking a commanding 65-39 lead at halftime.
A Parker layup at 7:15 of the third gave the Spurs a 75-46 advantage.
In the fourth, the most the Blazers were able to do in was to twice cut their deficit to 20.
Aldridge had 32 points and 14 rebounds and Damian Lillard had 17 points to lead the Blazers.
