Baltimore, MD, United States (4E) – The winners of the $414 million Mega Millions jackpot drawn in March claimed their share of the prize last week, lottery officials said.
Maryland lottery officials said Tuesday that the winner from the state, who chose to remain anonymous, quietly claimed half of the prize last week. The winner chose the cash option and will receive $76.4 million after taxes, according to the officials.
More than $10.1 million in tax revenue will go to Maryland while $100,000 will go to the seller of the winning ticket as bonus. The Lady’s Liquors, at 6474 Crain Highway in La Plata sold the winning ticket in Maryland.
