Detroit, MI, United States (NewsBahn) – A 19-year-old man was reportedly shot to death at Sunday’s Cinco de Mayo parade in Detroit. The event was cut short as police investigated the incident.
The event, attended by thousands of people, was cut short as police investigated the incident and a 24-year-old man was brought in for questioning.
“We’re not certain of the circumstances,” Detroit Police Officer Adam Madera said. “There apparently was an argument between the victim and the suspect’s family, which escalated to the shooting.”
Police indicated the victim may have been involved in a family dispute when the shot was fired.
The incident reportedly took place just after 1 p.m. in front of Brown’s Bun Bakery.
