CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m., students from Clearfield Elementary School will put their teachers to the test during McTeacher’s Night at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 1007 S. Second St., Clearfield.
Now in its 11th year, McTeacher’s Night is a program that invites educators into McDonald’s restaurants for a few hours to serve up Big Macs, Bacon Clubhouse sandwiches, McCafe beverages and other McDonald’s menu items to customers at the counter and drive-thru. In exchange, McDonald’s will donate a portion of the restaurant’s sales during those hours to their school.
For three hours, Clearfield Elementary Principal James Quick, along with Clearfield teachers and counselors, will “work” at the McDonald’s restaurant by greeting customers, taking meal orders, pouring soft drinks and serving up America’s favorite French fries. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the elementary school.
“McDonald’s is a strong supporter of local schools on a daily basis,” said Lisa Beatty, local McDonald’s owner/operator. “We enjoy hosting McTeacher’s Nights year after year because it is designed to shine a spotlight on some of our community’s most energetic and enthusiastic teachers and to provide some of the financial support they need to help their students succeed.”
Clearfield Elementary has partnered with this local McDonald’s for McTeacher’s Nights for close to 10 years, with last year’s event raising more than $4,500 for the school.
