San Antonio, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Tony Parker scored 32 as the San Antonio Spurs dominated the Dallas Mavericks, 119-96 Sunday at AT&T Center to close out their first round Western Conference series 4-3.
Manu Ginobili scored 20 points, Danny Green added 16 points and Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard had 15 points apiece for the Spurs.
With Parker scoring 12 in the first eight minutes, the Spurs raced to a 30-16 lead at 1:49 of the first quarter.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs charge as they closed in at 30-22 before a Danny Green 3-pointer gave the Spurs a 35-23 advantage.
The Spurs started the second with an 11-2 blast to push their lead to 46-25 lead at 8:47 of the second.
A Tim Duncan layup made it 64-35 for the Spurs at 2:13 before the Mavs ended the quarter with an 11-4 burst to cut their deficit to 68-46 at halftime.
The Mavs got to within 75-61 following a 7-0 blast with Devin Harris pouring in five points, but the Spurs had a 17-5 barrage to end the third and push their lead to 94-68
The Spurs started the fourth with three free throws to get a 97-68 lead.
A Kawhi Leonard field goal and two free throws by Boris Diaw gave the Spurs its biggest lead at 109-78 midway in the quarter.
The Mavs ended the game with a 7-0 burst to make their deficit more respectable at 119-96.
Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead the Mavs.
The Spurs advance to face the fifth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.
