Pacers breeze past Hawks to take Game 7

Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – Paul George scored 30 points to lead the Indiana Pacers past the Atlanta Hawks, 92-80 Saturday in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference first round series at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The game was close until the Pacers took charge late in the second quarter with a 13-0 run to take a 46-34 lead.

The Pacers kept up their attack in the third, pushing their lead to 57-40 with 8:10 left in the quarter.

Mike Scott hit two 3-pointer in scoring eight points as the Hawks outscored the Pacers 13-7 in the last 2:16 of the third to close in at 71-63 at the end of the quarter.

But Geoorge scored six tas the Pacers started the fourth with a 9-1 blast for an 80-64 lead.

Back-to-back baskets by Scott and Paul Millsap cut the Hawks deficit to 82-70.

But it didn’t stop the Pacers’ momentum, who pushed it back to 86-68 with free throws by George and George Hill and a layup by Lance Stephenson.

The Hawks wouldn’t threaten from there on.

Millsap had 15 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Hawks. Kyle Korver scored 19 Jeff Teague added 16.
