Boston, MA, United States (4E Sports) – Yunel Escobar homered off closer Koji Uehara in the ninth inning to propel the Tampa Bay Rays past the Boston Red Sox, 6-5 for a doubleheader sweep Thursday at Fenway Park.

In the second game, a James Loney’s RBI in the second inning and a homer by Desmond Jennings in the third put the Rays up 2-0.

But the Red Sox had a big fifth inning with RBIs by David Ortiz, Mike Napoli and Grady Sizemore for a five-run frame.

The Rays then charged back with Rodriguez homering in the sixth and Loney collecting another RBI to tie the game at 5-all.
