San Francisco, CA, United States (4E) – Nintendo has not confirmed any new hardware reveal for this year’s E3, choosing to skip its press conference. But according to sources cited by IGN and VideoGamer, Nintendo will “absolutely” showcase hardware during E3.
“They are absolutely going to show new hardware this year, there is no doubt in my mind…I’ve heard it from multiple people now. I’ve heard it from someone who used to be at Nintendo, I’ve heard it from somebody on the third-party front,” said IGN’s Peer Schneider.
The sources believe the new hardware is connected to the Fusion DS rumor — which will eventually follow the Wii U as its flagship console.
Nintendo has declined to comment of the subject matter. The closest confirmation Nintendo has given is the company’s willingness to change the gaming industry with new products.
The best consumers can do is wait until E3 on June 10 for any answers.
