Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Two-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw may rejoin the Los Angeles Dodgers’ rotation next week after pitching five strong innings in his second minor league rehab Wednesday.

He threw 86 pitches, striking out nine and walking two while pitching for the Dodgers’ Double-A affiliate Rancho Cucamonga in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In his first rehab start Friday, Kershaw threw 56 pitches over five strong innings, but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly announced his ace would return to the rotation once he had thrown as many as 80 pitches in the minors.

He hasn’t pitched in the majors since his March 22 Opening Day start in Australia, when he injured the teres major muscle near his left shoulder
