Houston, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Houston Dynamo forward Will Bruin and Portland Timbers striker Gaston Fernandez traded first-half goals in a 1-1 draw Sunday at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Bruin headed a shot past Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts in the 16th minute after a perfect pass from Brad Davis that gave Dynamo a 1-0 lead.

But the Timbers countered in the 33rd minute after a pass that deflected off Davis went into the path of Fernandez, who drove it into the upper-right corner to tie the game.

The draw extends the current winless streak to six games for the Dynamo (2-3-2), while the Timbers (0-3-5) are one of just two winless MLS teams along with the Chicago Fire.
