Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer confirmed that veteran quarterback Vince Young will work out with the team during its minicamp this week.
Aside from Young, Farmer said play-caller Tyler Thigpen will also join the minicamp.
A former No. 3 overall draft pick and Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006, Young had short stints with the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers in 2013.
However, he has not taken a snap in a regular-season game since 2011 when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Browns are on a hunt for a veteran quarterback with Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney as the only signal-callers in their roster. The Browns are expected to use an early draft pick to fortify the position.
Young settled his bankruptcy case earlier this year and has been training in San Diego to keep himself in playing shape.
