Atlanta, GA, United States (4E Sports) – Jeff Teague had 22 points and 10 assists to lead the Atlanta Hawks in toppling the Indiana Pacers, 98-85 Thursday at Philips Arena.
Paul Millsap added 14 points and 14 rebounds while Kyle Korver scored 20 as the Hawks surged ahead up 2-1 in their Eastern Conference first round best-of-seven series.
The first quarter ended at 24-all and the second quarter was a back-and-forth affair with the Hawks taking 39-38 lead at halftime.
DeMarre Carroll scored nine in the third, including two 3-pointers, as the Hawks took at 67-58 lead entering the fourth.
The Hawks were up 84-78 with the shot clock running down when Teague’s 3-pointer ignited a 10-2 for a 94-80 lead with just 1:13 remaining.
Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 21 points and 13 rebounds while Paul George contributed 12 points and 14 boards.
