Pujols powers 500th homer as Angels blast Nationals

Washington, DC, United States (NewsBahn) – Albert Pujols slammed career homers 499 and 500, with five RBIs, powering the Los Angeles Angles to a 7-2 win over the Washington Nationals Tuesday in the nation’s capital.

He’s the first player to hit a pair of round-trippers to achieve the milestone.

Pujols slammed a three-run homer in the first inning and added two-run drive in the fifth to become just the 26 MLB player to reach the 500 mark.

The certain Hall of Famer has eight homers and 19 RBI on the season.

The classy ex-Cardinals star took to Twitter to express his faith in God and thank fans for their support.
