Chicago, IL, United States (4E) – Kraft has voluntarily recalled 96,000 pounds of packaged hot dogs due to wrong labels, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on Sunday.

The recalled Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners may contain Classic Cheese Dogs so the ingredients associated with the pasteurized cheese in the cheese dogs are not reflected in the label. The cheese contain milk, which is an allergen, but this is not indicated in the label of the Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners packaging.

Kraft announced the voluntary recall on Sunday and repeated it via its Twitter on Monday.

The mislabeling was noticed by a consumer, who reported it to the company on Friday.

The 96,000 pounds of hot dogs are contained in 16-ounce packages and were produced in March.
