Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Singer Gwen Stefani is in talks to join as a coach in “The Voice” U.S. season seven months after Christina Aguilera announced her pregnancy, multiple sources confirm.
The No Doubt singer has reportedly signed on to be on the show for one season, though NBC has not commented on the matter. The seventh season is slated to begin filming this June.
According to TMZ, the show’s producers initially wanted Aguilera to stay for the upcoming season, but since she was having difficulties with her pregnancy, they decided to look for someone to fill in her post. Aguilera is reportedly coming back for the show’s eighth season, however.
Meanwhile, should Stefani, 33, push through with this new feat, she will join coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams, who was tapped to replace CeeLo Green’s place.
