Penn State Altoona “Gives it up for Good”

ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona will hold its annual Trash to Treasure sale from
8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Adler Gymnasium on May 31.

Community members will be able to purchase gently used items including appliances, electronics, athletic equipment, furniture, clothes, books, cleaning supplies, dishes and decorations.

Modeled after Penn State University Park’s award-winning Trash to Treasure program held each spring at Beaver Stadium, proceeds from the sale at Penn State Altoona will benefit the United Way of Blair County’s community impact partners.  Collecting and selling tons of unwanted items benefits the environment, as well, by keeping these materials out of landfills.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for the sale and to help on sale day. To volunteer, please contact the United Way of Blair County at 814-944-0884, extension 302.
