St. Louis, MO, United States (4E Sports) – Barret Jackman scored the game-winner early in overtime to carry the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks in Saturday’s Game 2 of the Western Conference First Round series at Scottrade Center.

Jackman buried a 14-foot slapshot past Corey Crawford at 5:50 in overtime to give the Blues a 2-0 lead in the best-of- seven series heading into Monday’s Game 3 in Chicago.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored the game-tying goal with 6.4 seconds left in regulation while Chris Porter and Kevin Shattenkirk also scored for the Blues, who got 25 saves from Ryan Miller.

Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Michal Rozsival scored while Crawford finished with 27 saves for the Blackhawks, who have gotten five of six goals in the series from their defensemen.

The Blues’ fourth line struck first in Game 2, just as it did in the series opener. Porter, who had just stepped onto the ice for a shift, picked up Jordan Leopold’s shot, which was blocked by Seabrook.

Porter, a ninth-round pick of the Blackhawks in the 2003 NHL Draft, stepped into a slap shot and beat Crawford high to the short side 7:08 into the first period for a 1-0 lead.

The Blues grabbed a 2-0 edge after Shattenkirk’s blast from inside the blue line beat Crawford with 1.8 seconds left in the first period.

Keith’s goal at 17:25 of the second period put the Blackhawks on the board while Seabrook tied the game 4:53 into the third period when his one-timer from the top of the right circle beat Miller high to the short side.

Rozsival gave Chicago its first lead 1:45 later when his shot from the right point deflected off Blues forward T.J. Oshie and past Miller.

The Blues pulled Miller with 1:46 remaining to get a 6-on-4 skating advantage, and Tarasenko scored his second of the series with a shot that went off the inside of the near post and into the net to tie the game 3-3.
