Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert admitted Friday that criticizing his teammates in the media was wrong and that he’s learned from the experience.
After a 91-78 loss to the Washington Wizards on March 28, a frustrated Hibbert told reporters there were some selfish dudes in his team.
“I will admit that it wasn’t the best thing to do. I’ll learn from that, and I was wrong. There are better ways to handle that than going to the media,” said Hibbert.
According to Hibbert he had a talk with his teammates and that he’s willing to accept the criticism.
Although they secured the Eastern Conference’s top seed, the Pacers struggled late in the season as they won only 10 of their last 22 games.
No other player may be struggling more than Hibbert, who has scored a total of nine points on 3-of-28 shooting over his past four games.
