HYDE — Heavy rains that started just before game time drenched the Bison Sports Complex diamonds and sent the Clearfield Area High School baseball and softball teams home early Monday afternoon.
Athletic director Robert Gearhart said make-up dates for the Mountain League baseball game with Philipsburg-Osceola and the non-league softball game with Brookville will be arranged at a later date.
The Bison (0-5) have yet to play at the BSC, and the forecast for more rain overnight makes it doubtful they’ll be able to take on Tyrone Tuesday in an already twice-postponed ML game.
The Lady Bison (2-4) are booked for their fourth consecutive home appearance Wednesday. They will host Philipsburg-Osceola, one of two unbeaten ML teams, if the BSC field is playable.
Both Clearfield squads will be at home against Central in ML action Thursday.
