“Miles of Mustaches” 5K Race Benefits Jeff Thomas, Family

CURWENSVILLE – One-hundred-and-sixty-six people participated in a “Miles of Mustaches” 5K Run/Walk to benefit Jeff Thomas and his family on Saturday in Curwensville.  Race organizers raised a total of $2,882.50 for the Thomas family and paid for a specialized tub needed due to his injuries.

Overall male winners were:  first place, Alec Freeman, 17:16; second place, Brett Decker, 20:26; and third place, Heath McCracken, 21:13.  Overall female winners were:  first place, Vanessa Snyder, 21:42; second place, Jamie Corbin, 24:39; and third place, Jilynn Hess, 25:19.

Race sponsors included the Clearfield YMCA, Mint Condition Sports Medicine and Chiropractic Wellness, Siegel Engraving, Tim Winters Productions, Bee Kind Winery, City Drug of Curwensville, Sholes Grocery, Checkerboard Pizza, DJ’s Pizza, Brother’s Pizza, Curwensville Florist, Place of the Rocks Roadhouse, the Clearfield County Fair, Champion’s Choice Sports, the Strawberry Tree, Drayer Physical Therapy, Silver Screen Video, Randy Sloppy Masonry, GantDaily.com, Road ID, Lavelle & Peters, LTD., Attorneys at Law, and Dr. Melanie Jordan, dentist, Curwensville.

Race organizers would like to thank the Curwensville Fire Police and the Curwensville Borough police for their assistance at the event.
