Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E Sports) – Legendary UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian was admitted to the emergency room of the Valley Hospital late Wednesday night after feeling weak, according to his son Danny.
Danny said his 83-year-old father was also struggling to keep his eyes open when he was taken to Valley Hospital on Wednesday night.
Jerry Tarkanian remained sedated at the hospital Thursday morning while doctors tried to determine what was behind his ailments.
The 83-year-old Tarkanianled UNLV to four Final Four appearances and won the NCAA Championship in 1990.
He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in September. Tarkanian won 784 games in his career, 509 of them at UNLV.
