Betty Jane Blasko, 77, a resident of West Decatur, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Windy Hill Village, a part of Presbyterian Senior Living, Philipsburg.
Born Nov. 3, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Joseph and Gertrude Elizabeth (Dougherty) Godissart. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. She attended Philipsburg High School.
On Feb. 3, 1955 in Clearfield, she married Andrew Glenn Blasko, whom died Jan. 16, 2009.
She’s survived by three sons, Robert Blasko and his wife, Elizabeth of Hellertown, Michael Blasko and his wife, Joanne of Easton and Gerald Blasko of West Decatur and a daughter, Mary Kay Michener and her fiancé, Russell Geesey of Pipersville.
She’s survived by two brothers, Alfred G. “Mike” Godissart of Hawk Run and Frank L. Godissart and his wife, Nancy of Clearfield; three sisters, Nancy Shimmel and Rose Lonjin and her husband, John, both of West Decatur, and Margaret Ann Swathsworth and her husband, Richard of Shiloh; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Godissart and Walter Godissart and one sister, Alpha Geraldine “Gert” Golding.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
