State Police: Robert Mann Promoted to Lieutenant

HARRISBURG – State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan has promoted Robert G. Mann of Chester Hill Borough, Clearfield County, to lieutenant and assigned him as the commander of the Criminal Investigation Section, Troop F, Montoursville.  He most recently served as station commander of Troop G, Philipsburg.

Mann enlisted in the state police in 1990.  Upon graduation from the academy, he was assigned to Troop N, Hazleton.  During his time in the state police, Mann has served in Troop N, Troop P, Troop J and Troop G.  During his career, Mann served as a trooper, corporal and sergeant in Troop G, Philipsburg.

Mann was promoted to corporal in 1999 and to sergeant in 2009.  Mann is a 1985 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School and served from 1986 to 1990 in the U.S. Air Force.

Mann and his wife, Jessie, reside in Chester Hill Borough, Clearfield County, and have two sons, Elliott and Grant.
