Aaron Harrison trey lifts Kentucky over Wisconsin, into title tilt

Arlington, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Aaron Harrison hit the game-winning 3-pointer to lift Kentucky past Wisconsin, 74-73 at AT&T Stadium to earn a spot at the national title game.

He had eight points and three rebounds, while James Young led Kentucky (29-10) with 17 points and Julius Randle finished with 16 points and five boards.

Second-seeded Wisconsin (30-8) led for most of the first half after a Bronson Koenig jumper gave the Badgers a 11-9 lead at 15:03 of the opening period.

Behind 43-36 at 18:41 of the second, Kentucky had a 15-0 burst that was sparked by a Julius Randle jumper to take 51-43 advantage.

Duke Dukan hit a couple of 3-pointers and Ben Burst added one as they combined for 13 points in a 15-4 Wisconsin run as they took a 58-55 lead midway in the second half.

The teams were in equal footing from there on until the game was tied at 71 following a Frank Kaminsky layup.

Jackson was fouled by Andrew Harrison while attempting a 3-pointer with 16.4 seconds left.

His first free throw rimmed out but he made the next two to give Wisconsin a 73-71 lead with Kentucky having ball posssession.

With Josh Gasser in his face at around 25 feet, Aaron Harrison took a pass from his twin brother, Andrew, and spotted up for the win.

Brust and Sam Dekker had 15 points each to lead Wisconsin.

Eighth-seeded Kentucky will play seventh-seeded UConn.
