Martin St. Louis nets pivotal goal as Rangers edge Canucks

Vancouver, BC, Canada (4E Sports) – Martin St. Louis bagged the crucial goal as the New York Rangers edged the Vancouver Canucks, 3-1 Tuesday at Rogers Arena.

Daniel Carcillo banged home the Rangers’ first goal as they took the upper hand at 4:59 of the first.

Benoit Pouliot scored in a power play off an assist by Derick Brassard to make it 2-0 at 14:43 of the opening period.

Ryan Kesler cut the Rangers’ lead in half at 6:21 of the second.

Rick Nash fed Martin St. Louis the puck as they took advantage of a 2-on-1 situation to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead at 10:15 of the third and put the game out of reach.

Henrik Lundqvist made 34 saves for the Rangers while Eddie Lack finished with 28 for the Canucks.
