Kanye West puts Australia concerts on hold to finish new album

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Rapper Kanye West has put a series of his Yeezus concerts in Australia on hold as he works on his upcoming album, it was announced Monday.

A press release from Roc Nation reads, “Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia. The tour dates originally scheduled from May 2 to May 11, 2014 will now be played from September 5 to September 15, 2014. All tickets for the initially scheduled shows will be honored for the new dates. “

The yet-to-be-titled album will be West’s seventh full-length feat, following Yeezus, which he released in June 2013. The seven scheduled concerts, which were originally plotted for May, will be held in September of this year.

The new dates for his shows are as follows:

September 5 – Perth – Perth Arena

September 7 – Adelaide – Entertainment Centre

September 9 – Melbourne – Rod Laver Arena

September 10 – Melbourne – Rod Laver Arena

September 12 – Sydney – Qantas Credit Card Arena

September 13 – Sydney – Qantas Credit Card Arena

September 15 – Brisbane – Entertainment Centre

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old musician has previously announced that a “Yeezus” film, directed by Hype Williams will be out in theaters, though it was not said when. Bret Easton Ellis is reportedly working on the screenplay.
