Tampa Bay, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin expects to be cleared from shoulder injury and return to full activity next week.
“I feel great,” said Martin. “I’m just getting my strength back.”
Martin was one of the NFL’s top rookies in 2012, rushing for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. He ran for 456 yards and one touchdown in six games.
But his season was cut short due to torn labrum in his left shoulder, which he sustained in their Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
The 25-year-old figures hopes to bounce back in 2014 under new coach Lovie Smith, who recently said he plans to use Martin as the lead back in a rotation.
