Wichita, KS, United States (4E Sports) – Kansas Jayhawks star freshman Andrew Wiggins will join this June’s NBA draft and is expected to declare his intentions on Monday.
The school announced it would hold a press conference Monday at 3 p.m. ET with Wiggins and KU coach Bill Self.
“I wish I had more time to stay here and do my thing and just be with the team and the coaches and all these wonderful fans,” Wiggins said.
The 6-foot-8 Canadian averaged 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds for Kansas this season. He’s been projected as the No. 1 overall pick and is a top-three choice at worst.
The second-seeded Jayhawks were upset by No. 10 Stanford in the Round of 32 last weekend.
