San Jose, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Tobias Enstrom’s power-play goal at 16:24 of the third broke the tie and lifted the Winnipeg Jets over the San Jose Sharks, 4-3 Thursday at SAP Center.
Dan Boyle opened the scoring for the Jets with a backhand past Al Montoya.
Just 36 seconds later Jets’ Andrew Ladd put in a rebound of Michael Frolik’s shot to tie the game.
The Sharks went back in front late in the first period on Brent Burns’ power-play goal.
Then Wheeler’s bad-angle shot from along the goal line sneaked into the net to tie the game at 1:55 of the second.
Dustin Byfuglien scored on a power play to give the Jets a 3-2 lead.
The Sharks tied it later in the second when James Sheppard’s slap shot deflected off Couture’s thumb and into the net.
Montoya made 27 saves for the Jets while Antti Niemi also had 27 for the Sharks.
