New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – New York Islanders owner Charles Wang said he remains willing to listen to expressions of interest from potential buyers of his majority interest in the team.

He noted that it does not mean that any deal will be reached.

The team has made only two postseason appearances and has not won a playoff series since Wang assumed principal ownership in 2004.

He has been an owner of the franchise since 2000.

The Islanders have been hemorrhaging money in recent seasons, with reports that the team loses tens of millions of dollars annually.

The team is set to move into the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at the start of the 2015-16 season, when they begin a 25-year lease agreement that was brokered in 2012.
